Hi, to all.
I hope that everyone is enjoying the spring thaw.
However, with the thaw we now have to make sure that our sump pumps are working on keeping the water in the right place, which is not in our homes.
If you haven’t checked your sump pump recently you should.
If you don’t know how you can send The Plumbing Guys an email, and we could help you.
If you would like one of our professionals to come out to your home and check that your system is working please give us a call (612-746-5545).
We also can check battery backup systems.
Remember to enjoy the warm weather and keep your home dry.
Happy New Year to one and all. I hope that the new year brings you all that you hope for. Please have a safe and fun New Years Eve as we all celebrate with friends and family.
It has come to my attention that many times people aren’t sure who to call when it comes to working with gas lines to their appliances and fixtures. Plumbers are typically able to and licensed for working with gas. However, not all companies are licensed to work with gas.
Calling the city, that the work is going to be done in, and asking if they require a separate license for gas work is one thing that I recommend. If they don’t you can call the company and ask if they are licensed to perform gas work in the city that you live in, or need work done in.
Merry Christmas from The Plumbing Guys. We wish you a happy and safe holiday season.
Just a quick note to let everyone know that The Plumbing Guys are now offering Saturday service at weekday rates!
Just a note to help home buyers. We recently experienced one home that the new home buyers had been in the home 6 months. Their sewer was backpitched (meaning that the flow of water is going up hill). Their sewer has backed up 4 times in the time that they have been there. This has caused many hundreds/thousands of dollars in cleaning bills and the problem is not even fixed. A video inspection (this is how we found the cause of the problem)of the sewer would have given the home buyer the knowledge that this would be a problem prior to purchasing.
The recent news about punctured gas lines that ran through sewer lines has brought this huge safety issue back to the front of the news. The problem is that plumbers and drain cleaners don’t know what areas in the twin cities metro have the most trouble, and they can’t tell if your house might be one of them. Even worse, if your line becomes clogged it’s almost impossible to see through the dirty sewer water and the clog itself to find out what’s actually creating the blockage.
The best solution is to have your sewer line inspected BEFORE a blockage actually stops up your drain. A video inspection of the sewer is one of the best ways to ensure you have peace of mind and to help prevent any future problems, by letting you visually inspect the line itself.
